Places in Our Town



Our town has many interesting places. In the museum, you can see many old objects from the past. When we want to go to the other side of the river, we walk over the bridge.

If you are hungry, you can go to a restaurant where waiters and waitresses bring you a menu and the bill after you eat. People who are ill go to the hospital where doctors and nurses help cure them.

Visitors to our town can sleep in a hotel after checking in at the reception. In the evening, many people like to see a film at the cinema. Some people in our town work in the factory where they manufacture goods.

Children go to school every day where teachers help pupils learn new things. If your car needs fuel, you can go to the petrol station, which is also called a filling station. When the weather is nice, many people walk in the park where there are trees, bushes, and benches to sit on.

Most houses have a garage, which is a small house for one car. In the town center, there is a big parking place with a lot of cars. The main square in town has buildings and a small park around it.

If you like reading, you can borrow books from the library. In the center of the square, there is a statue that a sculptor carved many years ago. When you need to send letters or buy stamps, you can go to the post office.

Football fans go to the stadium to watch matches. Outside of town, there is a cemetery with graves and tombs where funerals take place. Children love to visit the zoo to see different animals. On Sundays, many people go to church where the priest talks about God and reads from the Bible.
