The Parts of a House

A house has many different rooms and parts. Outside the house, there is usually a garden where you can grow flowers, vegetables, and fruit. Some gardens have trees with big trunks and green leaves. You can also find smaller bushes and colorful flowers in many gardens.

Most houses have a garage where people keep their cars. Inside the house, there is a kitchen where meals are cooked. In the kitchen, you can find a cooker for making food and pans for frying and cooking.

Families often eat meals in the dining room. They relax and watch TV in the living room. At night, people go to their bedrooms to sleep in their beds. Beds usually have pillows and blankets to make sleeping comfortable.

The bathroom is where people have showers or baths. In the bathroom, there is usually a bath, a mirror, and a wash basin with taps for washing hands. Near the bathroom, there is often a toilet with toilet paper.

Some houses also have a cellar under the ground where people store things. And on top of the house is the roof that protects everything from rain and snow.
