Amazing Animals Around Us

Animals are everywhere in our world. Some animals live in the ocean, like the whale. Whales are big mammals with flippers, not like sharks. Turtles are reptiles that live in the sea. They move slowly and have a hard shell.

On land, we can find many different animals. The tiger is a mammal and a predator with beautiful stripes. It hunts other animals for food. The snake is a reptile with no legs that can be poisonous.

Farm animals are very useful. Sheep give us wool for warm pullovers. Their babies are called lambs. Pigs live on farms too, and we get pork and sausages from them. Chickens give us eggs, and they are the females, while males are called cocks.

Some animals are known for special features. The swan is a beautiful bird that is bigger than a goose. The owl has big ears and eats mice. Mice are small mammals that owls like to eat. The rabbit, also called a bunny, is popular at Easter time.

Wild animals can be very interesting. The gorilla is a big monkey with strong arms. The lion, known as the king of animals, roars loudly like Simba in the movie. Kangaroos from Australia jump around and carry babies in their pouch. The giraffe has a very long neck and spotted skin.
